Transdermal Optical Imaging – TOI™ technology: why is it unique?
TOI™ technology uses the smartphone camera to measure and monitor some important vital parameters by scanning the face and analysing the blood flow in just 30 seconds.
TOI™ technology is based on the fact that human skin is translucent, and the tissues under the skin contains blood vessels and melanin. The different layers beneath the skin reflect different wavelengths (e.g. RGB). Through TOI™ technology, advanced image processing and machine learning techniques are applied to the wavelengths, which allow variations in facial blood flow to be captured using a standard camera/video camera found on any smartphone. The facial blood flow data (only the data, not the images collected) is then sent to the cloud to be processed by an engine that applies advanced artificial intelligence models to predict physiological and psychological states.
