Burnout and Mindfulness – reducing stress with Neocogita’s platform

How do the concepts of Burnout and Mindfulness relate to each other? Find out how mindfulness meditation can be effective on symptoms or disorders related to excessive stress.

What is burnout?

As already explained in a previous article, Burnout literally means exhaustion, collapse or a stressful condition. It is therefore very common to hear about this type of stress in and/or resulting from a work context. This leads to a psychophysical and emotional wear and tear. You could also experience feelings of demotivation, disappointment and disinterest with tangible consequences in the workplace, and in personal and social life.

How can Burnout be tackled? This is where the Neocogita Mindfulness sessions come into play with the Brain Wellness platform.

Mindfulness is a nonconceptual, universally accessible form of meditation and does not depend on any belief system.

The Brain Wellness platform is dedicated to participants of training and mental training programs aimed at companies. These programmes cover mental well-being, stress management and the enhancement of cognitive performance. The Mindfulness and Cognitive Training courses offered by Neocogita are aimed at groups of collaborators in the company (generally managers) who wish to increase their mental capital through training based on neuroscientific protocols.

The meditative technique of mindfulness is based on awareness, awareness of sensations and emotions present (both positive and negative), with the aim of accepting them.

Benefits for the individual and the company

The goal of mindfulness is to improve:

  • Mental presence
  • Anxiety
  • Stress
  • Resilience, the ability to react positively to stressful and/or negative events.
  • There may also be improvements in perspective taking and empathy.

The final aim of mindfulness will then be to succeed in generalizing and extending this “attentive mode” to the situations and contexts of daily life.

It will be a matter of cultivating awareness at every stage of one’s life from easy to difficult situations and from simple to complex actions.

The constant practice of mindfulness has therefore the objective of achieving a higher level of psychophysical wellbeing, since its effectiveness in reducing stress, and therefore burnout, has been demonstrated. It benefits the individual and thus also the company.
